MS Dhoni rolled back the years as he hit one the cleanest, if not the most, six of the IPL so far and in the process bringing mighty joy to his fans. When the Ranchi batsman took off his helmet and cap everyone knew that a big shot was on its way and Dhoni did not disappoint.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked out to the crease at number four, after Rahane & Tripathi combined to score 69/2 off 7.2 overs. The former Indian captain appeared to have come with an agenda to attack and he showed his intent hitting Samuel Badree for two boundaries in just the second over that he faced.

Chahal started the over well conceding just 2 runs in the first 5 balls but then he bowled a couple of wide deliveries. This meant an extra delivery and  Dhoni utilised it to the fullest. Dhoni danced down the pitch to strike the ball from the middle of his bat sending it over long-on and on to the roof of the Chinnaswamy stadium.

The shot was even applauded by the home crowd as they saw Dhoni getting back to his groove.

MSD fans, on the other hand, couldn’t stop themselves from appreciating the shot and took to twitter to express their feelings.
