Virat Kohli to play RCB's match against Mumbai Indians

Virat Kohli has announced his comeback date on April 14th, on the day when RCB is locking horns with Mumbai Indians, through a video posted on his Instagram page. The Indian skipper has been out of action since injuring his shoulder in the third Test against Australia in Ranchi.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, Kohli announced that he can’t wait to get back onto the field and set 14th April as the date for his return to action.  The video was captioned, “Can't wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now 💪✌️😃. 14th April ⏳".

Kohli has been sidelined ever since injuring his shoulder during the third Test against Australia in Ranchi after landing awkwardly while trying to stop a boundary. Subsequently, Kohli sat out of fourth and final Test in Dharamsala which India won to pocket the series 2-1. The injury also ruled Kohli out of the opening three games of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL 2017 campaign, out of which his side have lost two matches and won just one.

Kohli had won the orange cap in last year’s IPL after scoring 973 runs while leading the RCB to the final, where they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore take on the Mumbai Indians at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on April 14th, and Kohli’s return from injury means the home side will be back to full strength for the game. AB de Villiers has already made his return from injury with a brilliant 89 off 46 balls against Kings XI Punjab last night.
