Kieron Pollard slams Sanjay Manjrekar on Twitter

Things got ugly between Sanjay Manjrekar and Kieron Pollard after the commentator said the West Indian "does not have the brains to play early in the innings”. Pollard responded that Manjrekar should continue with his “verbal diarrhea” as he gets paid for it but reminded him of the power of words.

Mumbai Indians completed a thrilling four-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday. But it was Manjrekar’s comments on Kieron Pollard that made the headlines.

Pollard scored a run-a-ball 17 and former India batsman Manjrekar, who was commentating on the game, got stuck into Pollard saying, “Pollard does not have the brains to play early in the innings.”

Pollard, who was understandably upset with Manjrekar’s comments, took to Twitter after the game:

u feel any positive can come out of your mouth bcuz u get pay to talk u can continue with your verbal diarrhea ..

Pollard also reminded Manjrekar about the power of the spoken word before changing the topic to Mumbai’s victory.

.

After this incident, Manjrekar may like to think twice before speaking in the future.
