Harsh Goenka slammed for his Tweet on MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is one of the most loved Indian cricketers, and, needless to say, his removal as the skipper of the Rising Pune Supergiant did not go down well with his fans. Harsh Goenka was slammed for saying that Steve Smith had overshadowed Dhoni in last night's victory over Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises and brother of Supergiant owner Sanjiv Goenka, found himself in the centre of a storm soon after Supergiant's victory over Mumbai Indians in the Maharashtra derby when he said that Smith’s innings of 84* had justified his selection as captain.
Dhoni’s removal from captaincy has not gone down well with his fans, and Sunil Gavaskar was the latest to criticize the move on the pre-match show. But when Smith did a Dhoni to seal the game for Supergiant with two big sixes, with Dhoni himself at the non-striker’s end, Goenka was quick to tweet: “#RPSvMI Smith proves who’s the kind of the jungle. Overshadows Doni totally. Captains innings. Great move to appoint him as captain”.

The manner of Dhoni’s removal from the post irked fans as it somehow showed the former Indi captain in poor light, and they made their feelings known in response to Goenka’s tweet saying things such as:
