No bilateral series with Pakistan in near future, says Anurag Thakur

There is palpable anger against Pakistan all over India following an attack on the Indian post earlier this week. As many as 18 Indian soldiers were martyred in the dastardly attack carried out by four terrorists, who had sneaked in from across the border. 

BCCI President Anurag Thakur who was in New Delhi to attend a meeting held by BJP has made it clear that the BCCI will not try to revive bilateral ties with Pakistan and talking about it is not correct at the moment. When asked whether there are any chances to play cricket with Pakistan, Thakur said, “In the context of what has happened even considering such a thought is not appropriate,” reported PTI.

The last bilateral series between both the warring nations took place back in 2012 when Pakistan toured India for 3 ODIs and 2 T20 internationals.
