Virender Sehwag, who has gathered quite a crowd of late for his witty jokes on Twitter, has shown his humane side by supporting a great cause using that fan following - when he came to know that Satish, the son of a farmer from Uttar Pradesh, lost his leg in an accident last year, Sehwag decided to do something about it.
The youngster, who wanted to take care of his parents, was in need of a prosthetic leg but came to know that it would cost his family an amount of Rs. 7,50,000. His father had to sell his land in order to pay for the artificial leg but was still unable to gather such a huge amount.
Through his organization “Virender Sehwag Foundation”, the Nazafgarh Nawab started a hashtag #RunSaitshRun which received an overwhelming response.

Following Sehwag, numerous Twitter followers not only retweeted and made the hashtag #RunSatishRun, but also contributed to the fund generously. Sehwag actively egged on responders to contribute and soon enough, they started coming in from around the country.
Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli, who is celebrating his birthday on November 5, also joined Viru's campaign, recording a video urging his fans to donate for Satish's artificial leg.
