India have moved six points ahead of Pakistan in the ICC Test rankings after their neighbors were beaten by West Indies in the final Test at Sharjah. Although Pakistan won the series, they are now six rating points behind India who stand at 115 ratings points and just 1 point ahead of Australia.

Pakistan missed their chance of closing the gap on their fiercest rivals after Kraigg Brathwaite's master-class gave the West Indies a consolation win. With the India-England and Australia-South Africa series coming up, it is unlikely that they would be able to hold onto second place. Australia are just one point behind at 108 ratings, close behind the Pakistan team at 109.

In the batsman rankings, Steve Smith retains the top spot with 906 points, but his lead has now been cut to just 46 points with Younis Khan (860) and Hashim Amla (847) leading the chasing pack. Ajinkya Rahane is the highest-ranked Indian on the list at No. 6 with 825 points.

Ravichandran Ashwin still leads the way in the bowlers charts with 900 points. Dale Steyn and James Anderson make up the remaining podium places with 878 and 853 points respectively. The biggest gainer among the bowlers has been Yasir Shah, whose Man of the series performance against the Windies, where he claimed 21 wickets in just 3 Tests, sees him slingshot to 5th on the list with 829 points.

Ashwin leads the way for the all-rounders as well with 451 points. Shakib Al Hasan's impressive performances against England in the Test series has seen the gap between the top 2 being reduced to 46 points.
