India have slipped up one spot to fourth in the latest ICC ODI rankings released today, with World champions Australia and World Cup finalists New Zealand occupying the top two spots. India have also lost the No.1 spot in the T20 rankings to the Kiwis despite being on par with them on points.

India occupy the fourth slot in the ODI rankings with 109 rating points, three short of South Africa. The Proteas are a single point behind second-placed New Zealand, while Australia, who won their fifth World Cup title last year, sit comfortably at the top with an 11-point cushion. Meanwhile, Pakistan have dropped to ninth in the rankings after West Indies jumped up to eighth.

Pakistan will hope to improve their points tally before 30 September 2017, which is the cutoff date for ICC World Cup 2019 qualification. The top-seven teams along with host England will qualify directly for World Cup, while the bottom-four teams will fight it out for the remaining two spots in the qualifiers.

In this ranking update, the results from 2012-13 have been dropped, while results from 2014-15 is now carrying 50 percent weightage.

In the T20 rankings, World T20 semi-finalists New Zealand have claimed the No. 1 spot for the very first time, dethroning India from the top. South Africa have moved up to fourth, despite their exit in the group stage of the competition, while World T20 finalists England have dropped down to fifth spot.
