Nasir Hossain turned in a spectacular all-round show to help Bangladesh A win the second unofficial ODI against India A at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and level the three-match series 1-1.

Nasir struck an unbeaten 102 with 12 fours and a six and grabbed five wickets to help the tourists win by 65 runs. The final match will be played in Bangalore on Sept 20.

The visitors were in deep trouble at 82-5 after being put in to bat, with medium-pacer Rishi Dhawan grabbing three wickets. However, Nasir turned it around in a remarkable fashion with partnerships of 70 with Liton Das and 50 with Arafat Sunny to guide his team to a competitive 252-8.

India A were cruising at 119-1 with skipper and opener Unmukt Chand hitting a fifty, before Nasir derailed the chase, striking crucial blows with his off-spin.

Nasir dismissed Chand caught behind and then had Suresh Raina (17) and Karun Nair (4) stumped in the space of four deliveries to leave the hosts struggling at 146-5.

Medium-pacer Rubel Hossain sent back Sanju Samson for a duck and Karn Sharma for two in his second spell, while Nasir clean bowled Dhawan for a duck to end India A’s hopes of recovery.

Gurkeerat Singh, who played a key role in India’s victory in the opening match, struck 34 before becoming the last-man out, bowled by medium-pacer Al-Amin Hossain.
